A summary of the process is shown below:
Creating New Users (Administrators)
- When creating a new user (individually or bulk), the user is emailed a link to set their password.
- If a user is created using a 'dummy' email address then the password can be set / reset by an administrator and manually communicated to the user. It is not recommended practice to use dummy email addresses.
- Passwords can be set for existing users by an Administrator if required, however it is recommended that users reset their own passwords, as described below:
User Initiated Password Resets
- Select 'Forgot Password' from the login screen of the Informed App, or WebApp.
- An email will be sent to the user's email address with a link to set the password.
- User can login to the App / WebApp using the new password.
- In case of exceptions, Admin users can manually set a user's password using the Informed Portal.
