A summary of the process is shown below:


Creating New Users (Administrators)

  1. When creating a new user (individually or bulk), the user is emailed a link to set their password.
  2. If a user is created using a 'dummy' email address then the password can be set / reset by an administrator and manually communicated to the user. It is not recommended practice to use dummy email addresses.
  3. Passwords can be set for existing users by an Administrator if required, however it is recommended that users reset their own passwords, as described below:

User Initiated Password Resets

  1. Select 'Forgot Password' from the login screen of the Informed App, or WebApp.
  2. An email will be sent to the user's email address with a link to set the password.
  3. User can login to the App / WebApp using the new password.
  4. In case of exceptions, Admin users can manually set a user's password using the Informed Portal.
